ATAC Patagonia provides unique small-group and custom multi-day tours as well as vacation rentals in Patagonia. Services are provided by guides with real first-hand local knowledge and expertise of the region and the activity of the tour.
ATAC Patagonia combines the best of both a travel agency and a tour operator by providing a complete service of trip design to execution. Itineraries are created to uniquely fit the guest’s expectations and abitilies. With presence in Patagonia, ATAC Patagonia provides security of service delivery - whether it is recognizance of an area and activity or making on-the-spot itinerary changes during a trip to suit the desires of the guests.
Maintaining ATAC as a small business, Zachary Cowan, the owner, guides as well as manages the office.

In February of 2002, accompanied by 13 paddlers, using two rafts and pack
horses, Zach Cowan and Diego Rodríguez led the first commercial
raft descent of the Rio Manso across the Andes of Patagonia to Lake Tagua-Tagua, Chile. Upon completing the
descent, the duo returned with kayaks to acheive the first descent of the Maldonado gorge of the Manso - a notoriously difficult section that stumped river runners for decades. Drawn by the remote beauty of the Manso wilderness and its
Patagonian culture, Zach and Diego started Adventure Tours Argentina Chile
(ATAC).
Since then, ATAC Patagonia has forged new routes for different activities in all parts of Argentina and Chile's Patagonia.

Realizing the difficulties of providing great accommodations in high season in Bariloche, Argentina, ATAC Patagonia began offering vacation rentals in Patagonia to compliment the
tours. ATAC now owns and represents apartments, cabins and waterfront homes in Patagonia. If you would like your own place and have a tour as well, we can accommodate you as well.
